Shadi Rostami

Shadi Rostami is a highly experienced engineering leader with a proven track record in various senior roles across multiple prestigious companies. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering for Core Data at Google since July 2025, Shadi previously held the position of Senior/Executive VP of Engineering at Amplitude, where responsibilities included overseeing engineering, security, and support. Prior experience includes a VP role at Palo Alto Networks, managing Development, QA, DevOps, and Data Science for cloud Delivered Services, along with significant contributions to products such as Application Framework and URL filtering. Earlier roles include leadership positions at Vernier Networks, where the design of a network Intrusion Prevention system was a key achievement, and Inkra Networks, focusing on real-time network intrusion detection. Shadi holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from The University of British Columbia and a B.Sc. in Software Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
