Shahram Izadi

Shahram Izadi is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in augmented and virtual reality. Currently serving as VP/GM of AR/XR at Google since July 2017, Shahram leads business, product, design, and engineering initiatives for the platform and its products. Prior to Google, Shahram co-founded perceptiveIO, Inc., where the role of Co-founder and CTO was held until its acquisition by Google. Shahram's background includes a decade at Microsoft as Partner R&D Director, contributing to notable products such as HoloLens and Kinect, as well as various innovative R&D projects. The career also includes a research consultant position at PARC, a Xerox company, and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham, specializing in natural user interfaces and augmented reality.
