Shan Shan is a seasoned Database Engineer with extensive experience in building, supporting, and optimizing large-scale relational and NoSQL database solutions. Currently at Google, Shan manages nearly a thousand MySQL and Cassandra instances that support 25 million users in tracking health activity data. Prior to this, Shan held positions at Fitbit, where they led database upgrades, and Marin Software, where they contributed to database administration and performance tuning. Shan holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from California State University, San Bernardino, and a Bachelor's degree from Northeastern University.
