Shankar Sastry

Shankar Sastry is a software engineer with extensive experience in developing software solutions across various industries. Currently employed at Google since March 2020, Shankar focuses on innovative engineering projects. Prior to Google, Shankar worked at C3 IoT from June 2018 to February 2020, contributing to the data integration team to enhance enterprise access to machine learning and data analytics. Shankar's experience also includes a position at Intel Corporation from April 2016 to May 2018, where significant software optimizations were achieved for geometric models in processor manufacturing. Earlier, as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Utah from September 2012 to April 2016, Shankar collaborated with ExxonMobil on the automation of geometric modeling for geological surfaces. Shankar holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Penn State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
