Shari Trewin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in accessibility and artificial intelligence. Trewin served as Secretary/Treasurer at SIGACCESS from June 2009 to June 2015 and held the role of Chair at SIGACCESS from July 2015 to June 2021. At IBM Research, Trewin worked as a Research Staff Member from March 2000 to August 2018, focusing on accessibility and AI research. Trewin was also the Manager and Lead Researcher for IBM Accessibility from July 2020 to July 2021, overseeing a team dedicated to enhancing accessibility practices. Currently, Trewin is a Software Engineering Manager at Google since June 2022. Earlier, Trewin was a Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, where educational software was developed and assistive technology projects were supervised.
