Sherman Li

Sherman Li is currently the Director of Security & Privacy Engineering at Google, where they lead the global security and privacy strategy across major products including Search, Gmail, and Cloud. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Manager in Privacy Engineering at Google, where they established the first dedicated privacy engineering function for Google Cloud and earned the Cloud SVP’s Leadership Excellence Award. They began their career at Intel Corporation as a Security Engineer, contributing to firmware and trusted computing stack development before moving to Symantec as a Senior Security Engineer, focusing on enterprise and mobile protection. Sherman holds a Master of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security from Carnegie Mellon University.
