Shu Zhou is a senior lead in software development at Google with over 10 years of industry experience, specializing in databases, cloud infrastructure, and distributed computing. Previously, Shu worked at Oracle as a Software Development Manager, where they contributed to the Oracle GoldenGate product and managed an engineering team. At Alibaba Group, Shu led the development of the storage layer for PolarDB and oversaw data and service infrastructure supporting millions of users. Currently, at Google, Shu serves millions of customers and has received multiple awards for contributions to MySQL databases, including the innovative development of the first vector and ANN search MySQL. Shu earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of New Mexico.
