Simon Forrest

Simon Forrest is a Senior Network Transport Engineer at Google, where they have contributed to network design and installation since 2020. Prior to their current role, Simon held various positions in the telecommunications sector, including at Ciena and ADVA Optical Networking, where they were involved in pre-sales activities and technical support. Simon began their career as a Purchasing Consultant at GE Capital and has built expertise in DWDM and CWDM technologies, as well as various network protocols and systems. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Geology with Geography from the University of Leeds, earned in 1998.
