Simon Gustavsson is a highly experienced Staff Research Scientist at Google since October 2025 and has served as a Principal Research Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since September 2008, focusing on engineering quantum systems and quantum computing with superconducting circuits. Before joining Google, Simon held positions including President and CTO of Atlantic Quantum, which was acquired by Google, and Quantum R&D Manager at Keysight Technologies. As the Founder and CEO of Labber, a company specialized in software for control and automation of quantum computing experiments, Simon successfully led the acquisition of Labber by Keysight Technologies in 2019. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Physics from ETH Zürich and an MSc in Physics from Chalmers University of Technology.
