Simone Campanoni

Simone Campanoni has extensive experience in academia and research, holding positions at notable institutions, including Northwestern University as a Tenure-track Assistant Professor and later as an Associate Professor from August 2015 to August 2023. Prior to this, Simone completed a postdoctoral position at Harvard University from November 2009 to July 2015. Most recently, Simone served as a Visiting Faculty Professor and Research Scientist at Google from September 2024 to June 2025. Earlier in the career, Simone worked as an Operaio at Suprema in 2001. Educationally, Simone attained a PhD in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (2007-2010) and holds both a Master of Science (2004-2006) and a Bachelor of Science (2001-2004) in the same field from the same institution, achieving high academic honors.
