Siyan Zhao is an experienced researcher with a strong background in human-computer interaction and user experience. Siyan began at Carnegie Mellon University as a research assistant and progressed to a PhD researcher, where machine-learning models were created to analyze social interactions using smartphone sensor data. Siyan held roles as a senior user experience researcher at Classkick and research consultant at Facebook, focusing on qualitative analyses of social interactions and user experience strategies. At Disney Research, Siyan led studies on haptic technology and perception, and currently serves as a quantitative user experience researcher at Google. Siyan holds a BS in Cognitive Science and Human-Computer Interaction, an MS in Human-Computer Interaction, and a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, all from Carnegie Mellon University.
