Siyao Jia

Siyao Jia is a highly skilled machine learning engineer currently employed at Google since June 2020, contributing to projects such as YouTube Suggest and organic shopping on Google Search. Prior experience includes a product scientist internship at Indeed.com, a designer and teacher role in the ISEE Professional Development Program, and research-related positions at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and the University of Arizona. In academia, Siyao served as a graduate student instructor at the University of California, Berkeley, where teaching responsibilities included leading undergraduate astronomy classes. Siyao holds both a Master's and a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of California, Berkeley, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Astrophysics from Peking University.
