Siyi (Fiona) Xu is a highly skilled software engineer currently employed at Google since August 2022. Siyi has previous experience as a summer analyst at Goldman Sachs, where responsibilities included developing a Java microservice and optimizing data consumption using Apache Kafka. As an undergraduate research assistant for the Data and Technology for Fact-checking initiative, Siyi contributed significant research efforts, and as a product manager and back-end developer for the Cornelius App, Siyi delivered a medical appointment management iOS application utilizing various technologies. Siyi also served as a data analyst for MoGo Detroit Bike Share, where methodology for annual impact reports was developed, and acted as a teaching assistant at Duke University, supporting over 200 students in Python and SQL. Siyi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Statistical Science from Duke University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from New York University.
