Smarajit Mukherjee

Smarajit Mukherjee is a Senior Thermal Architect at Google, where they drive the system thermal architecture for flagship Pixel phones. They have extensive experience in thermal and mechanical engineering, particularly in Computational Fluid Dynamics and thermal design of consumer electronics, having previously worked at Apple on the thermal architecture of various iPhone models. Smarajit earned a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, where their dissertation focused on heat transfer models for spark-ignited engines. They have also held positions at Ingersoll Rand, Indian Institute of Science, and Mahindra & Mahindra, contributing to innovations in engine simulation and performance testing.
