Sonam Goenka is a Senior Software Engineer at Google, currently engaged in Video Understanding at Google Research. With over six years of research experience in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and AI, and more than a decade in software development, Sonam has delivered multiple ML-based products for both edge and cloud environments. Previously, Sonam worked as an Applied Scientist II on Amazon's MultiSensory Alexa AI Team, and has also contributed to multiple research projects at Columbia University. Sonam holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and two Master's degrees, one in Financial Engineering from UC Berkeley and another in Computer Science from Columbia University.
