Sonja Sofia Schmidt

Sonja Sofia Schmidt is a Senior Strategist at Google, leading efforts to drive profitable growth for businesses in Switzerland and Austria while managing significant annual revenue and achieving notable year-on-year growth. Previously, Sonja served as Venture Capital X-Google Partner Manager, supporting the Google Venture Capital and Startups Ecosystem, and led the Women in AI Growth Academy in MENA, accelerating women-led AI startups. Sonja’s diverse experience includes roles as Chief Growth Officer at Tevent, Growth and Innovation Consultant at Ogilvy Consulting, and Change Manager at the Bank of England, showcasing expertise in growth strategies, business transformation, and consultancy across various sectors. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Geneva. Currently, Sonja is also serving as a Venture Scout for First Momentum Ventures.
