Sophia Hsiao

Sophia Hsiao is a Computer Science graduate from Brown University with extensive experience in teaching and software engineering. From August 2015 to May 2018, Hsiao served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and later as Head Teaching Assistant for introductory programming courses, managing a team of 43 TAs and coordinating logistics for over 350 students. Hsiao completed internships at Google, contributing to the Android Google Maps team and the Flights Backend team, where machine learning models for flight delay predictions were developed and released. Since August 2018, Hsiao has worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Google on the Funding Choices Team. Additionally, prior to university, Hsiao conducted research at National Jewish Health, developing a PCR-based diagnostic test for Mycobacteria.
