Steffen Mueller is a Senior Director of Site Reliability Engineering and Software Engineering at Google, where they lead the Infrastructure as a Service SRE organization comprising over 300 engineers. Previously, they served as the SRE lead for Google's Cloud Application Ecosystem and played a pivotal role in overseeing storage infrastructure. Prior to joining Google, Steffen held various leadership roles at Booking.com, where they directed technical strategy and managed Core Infrastructure development. Steffen completed a Master’s degree in Astroparticle Physics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and was a PhD student focusing on astroparticle physics for the Pierre Auger Observatory.
