Stephen Norum has over 15 years of experience in control systems engineering and software development. Norum served as a Control Systems Engineer and Technical Lead for the Beamline Transport System at Varian Medical Systems from August 2010 to May 2013. Prior to that, from July 2005 to August 2010, Norum worked at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory as a Control Systems Engineer and Project Lead for the Machine Protection System. Currently, since June 2013, Norum holds the position of Staff Software Engineer at Google. Academically, Norum earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan between 2000 and 2005.
