Steve Cholewiak

Steve Cholewiak is an accomplished Applied Vision Scientist at Google, with extensive experience in experimental psychology and vision science. Steve's academic journey includes a Postdoctoral Scholar position at Justus-Liebig University Giessen and a second Postdoctoral Scholar role at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry, where innovative research focused on accommodation and optical technologies was conducted. Significant expertise was gained in developing computational models, interactive experiments, and advanced optical testbeds, utilizing methods and tools like MATLAB, Psychtoolbox, and wavefront sensors. Steve holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Rutgers University-New Brunswick, alongside a Master’s Degree in the same field and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology & Physics from the University of Virginia.
