Steve Zekany

Steve Zekany is a Senior Software Engineer at Google, where they focus on performance optimizations for the planet-scale infrastructure that supports the company's internal workloads. Previously, Steve was a Summer Fellow at the Centre for the Governance of AI, contributing to research on compute governance for cloud providers. They held multiple engineering positions at AMD, Arm, and Boeing, during which Steve was involved in developing hardware interfaces, prototyping packet processing, and creating a web application for supplier productivity metrics. Steve earned a PhD in Computer Science & Engineering and has extensive teaching experience at the University of Michigan.
