Steven James

Steven James is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in supplier development engineering and program management. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Supplier Development Engineering and Technical Program Management at Google since April 2012, Steven leads a global team of approximately 200 individuals across multiple countries, supporting key consumer hardware projects such as NEST, Pixel, and Fitbit by delivering essential sub-assemblies. Previously, Steven held the position of Director of Supplier Quality & Engineering at Apple from January 2006 to April 2012, where the focus was on enabling suppliers to produce high-quality components. Steven's career began at Applied Materials, where various roles culminated in the position of Sr. Global Product Support Manager, concentrating on Physical Vapor Deposition equipment. Academically, Steven holds a BSEET in Electronics Technology from California Polytechnic State University and an MS in Science & Technology Commercialization from the Texas McCombs School of Business.
