Stijn de Graaf

Research Scientist

Stijn de Graaf is a Research Scientist at Google since December 2024, with a strong background in physics and applied research. Previous experiences include a summer research position at DESY in 2017, where software was developed for Serial Femtosecond Crystallography, and a graduate research assistantship at Yale University from September 2018 to November 2024, focusing on high-Q superconducting microwave cavities and fast beamsplitter interactions using SNAIL technology. Stijn has also contributed to research at the Cavendish Laboratory in 2018 and interned at Stratagem Technologies in 2015. Stijn holds an M.Sci. in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in Applied Physics from Yale University.
