Subir Jhanb

Subir Jhanb is a highly experienced engineering leader at Google, holding the position of Senior Director of Engineering for Google Ads since May 2006. In this role, Subir Jhanb leads engineering teams focused on Ads Privacy, Regulations, Identity, and Traffic Quality, shaping the company's advertising privacy and trust strategies amidst evolving industry regulations. Prior to this, Subir Jhanb served as Director of Engineering and was instrumental in innovating defenses against invalid traffic as a Senior Staff Software Engineer. Subir Jhanb's tenure at Google also includes significant contributions to the development of Google Cloud Messaging and various features within Google Workspace. Earlier experiences include internships at Cleversafe and academic roles at the Illinois Institute of Technology and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Subir Jhanb holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology.
