Sujoy Basu is a seasoned software architect and researcher with extensive experience in the fields of software engineering, industrial IoT, and distributed systems. Sujoy worked at GE Global Research from June 2013 to February 2015 as a Sr Staff Software Architect, where responsibilities included serving as a system architect for Predix, GE's Industrial IoT Platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation. Previous roles included a Summer Intern and Visiting Researcher at IBM Research, and Senior Researcher positions at HP Labs focusing on overlay networking and cloud marketplace services. Currently a Member of Technical Staff at Google since November 2016, Sujoy also leads IoT analytics at GE Digital, contributing to the launch of the Predix Analytics Framework. Sujoy holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an MS in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
