Sumit Jha

Sumit Jha is an accomplished Senior Silicon Engineer currently employed at Google since April 2024, bringing extensive experience in semiconductor design. Sumit's previous roles include Senior Staff Engineer at SiFive and multiple positions at Google, where Sumit contributed as a core member of the CPU team that developed the Google Tensor SoC, handling critical tasks such as synthesis, floorplanning, and timing closure for high-performance CPU modules. Prior to that, Sumit worked as a Senior Engineer at Qualcomm, focusing on power grid design and innovative solutions, and as a Senior Physical Design Engineer at NXP Semiconductors, where Sumit managed physical design aspects and strategic initiatives across multiple sites. Sumit began their career as a Physical Design Engineer for Automotive MCUs, working with various technologies and developing automation scripts.
