Sunil Kumar

Sunil Kumar is an accomplished Software Engineering Manager with extensive experience in leading engineering teams and driving technology initiatives. Currently serving at Google since January 2024, Sunil previously held similar managerial roles at Apollo.io, where work focused on intent data gathering for customer targeting, and Unacademy, where strategic engineering for live video streaming was a highlight. Sunil's career also includes significant contributions at HackerEarth, where leadership of a 15-engineer team led to improved application uptime, as well as foundational work at Clorik and Clip in content discovery and short video platforms. Earlier experience at Flipkart involved scaling catalog management systems, and Sunil gained initial recognition through contributions made during Google Summer of Code. Sunil holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad.
