Sushant Sachdeva

Sushant Sachdeva is a highly experienced academic and researcher in the field of theoretical computer science. Currently holding the positions of Faculty Member and Faculty Affiliate at Vector Institute since September 2019, and serving as an Associate Professor and former Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto from August 2017, Sushant is also a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI as of September 2025. Additional roles include Visiting Researcher at Google since January 2024, and a recent Visiting Scientist at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing during the latter half of 2023. With prior experience as a Research Scientist at Google, a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, Sushant's educational background includes a Ph.D. from Princeton University and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Notably, Sushant provided technical advisory to Cinchy regarding efficient distributed data storage in 2021.
