Tae Kong

Tae (Taeyoung) Kong is a computer architect currently working as a Machine Learning Architect on the TPU Architecture team at Google, where they analyze performance and cost trade-offs for next-generation TPUs. They are pursuing further research as a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, where they previously served as a Research Assistant in the VLSI Research Group. Tae has gained valuable experience through internships at Meta, where they developed a design implementation tool for ML accelerators, and Xilinx, where they designed an Adaptive QoS Manager for an accelerator. Earlier in their career, Tae worked as a Digital Circuit Designer at Silicon Motion Technology Corp., contributing to the design of transceiver chips for Samsung smartphones.
