Thad Starner

Thad Starner is a wearable computing pioneer and AI researcher with extensive expertise in wearable computers, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality. They served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the MIT Media Lab from 1991 to 1999 and have held various academic positions, including Professor of Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology since 1999 and Visiting Professor roles at the University of Bremen and ETH Zurich. Thad has also contributed to industry advancements as an Associate Scientist at BBN Technologies and a Staff Research Scientist at Google. Their educational background includes multiple degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, culminating in a PhD in Media Arts and Sciences.
