Thomas Oropeza has a diverse background in both hospitality and software engineering, beginning with experience as a server, waiter, and bartender at Villa D'Este, where responsibilities included organizing banquets and catering events. Following this, Thomas gained valuable experience as a Software Engineer Intern at Workday, contributing to automated testing systems and continuous integration migrations. As a Software Engineer III at Workday, significant achievements included developing a cost-saving implementation framework for APIs and leading technical projects for data migration tools. Thomas also served as a Research Assistant at the University of San Francisco, focusing on the MIT AppInventor, and taught computer science to students as a Computer Science Instructor for Upward Bound. Currently, Thomas works as a Software Engineer on the Google Maps Platform, specializing in Android Core Infrastructure. Education includes a Computer Science degree from the University of San Francisco, following high school studies at Archbishop Riordan High School.
