Tianji Cong is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of Michigan College of Engineering, expected to graduate in 2025. Tianji has held several positions including a Research Intern at Microsoft in 2024, a Technology Consultant for Kurve, Inc. in early 2024, and a Research Intern at Sigma Computing in late 2022. Additionally, Tianji served as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan, where course materials were co-developed for a graduate seminar and fourteen students were supervised on final projects. Tianji is currently a Software Engineer Intern at Google, working with the Query Processing/Columnar Engine Team of AlloyDB since May 2025. Prior experience also includes a role as an instructional aide for an undergraduate database course.
