Quantum Hardware Engineer

Tim Burger is a highly skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in various high-tech sectors, including aerospace and additive manufacturing. Tim's career includes roles at Lockheed Martin, where technical expertise in Laser Powder Bed Fusion technology was applied and innovative designs were reimagined to enhance product capabilities. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, Tim led the design of high-precision electronics chassis while also managing an additive manufacturing research lab. Previous experience includes project design at the San Luis Obispo Children's Museum and internships at NASA and Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company. Tim holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechatronics and Robotics from Santa Clara University. Currently, Tim serves as a Quantum Hardware Engineer at Google.
