Tim Kowalski

Tim Kowalski is currently the Senior Counsel and Head of Patent Transactions at Google, a role they have held since 2021. They have served as the Lead Intellectual Property Counsel at both Motorola Solutions and Motorola Mobility LLC from 2004 to 2012. Tim is also the Chair of the Board of Directors at the Open Invention Network and the Chair at LOT Network, while holding board member positions at both organizations. They began their legal career as an Associate at Arnold, White & Durkee and Jenkens & Gilchrist from 1999 to 2004. Tim earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a Doctor of Law, cum laude, from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.
