Tim Wantland

Tim Wantland is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in industrial and interactive design. Career highlights include positions at the University of Kansas as an Interactive Exhibition Designer, where Led the design and fabrication of exhibit displays. Wantland contributed to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as an Industrial Designer for the India’s Safe Water project. Significant roles at Microsoft included Senior Interaction Designer, focusing on high-profile projects such as Metro design language and Cortana v1, as well as Consumer Robotics in Microsoft’s Start-Up Incubator. At Google, Wantland served in multiple senior positions, including Senior Staff Design Manager, where Led design strategies that integrated hardware, software, and AI for the Watch Software team and redefined the Android platform. Tim Wantland holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the University of Kansas.
