Tom Kennedy has an extensive background in hardware engineering and leadership, beginning as a Systems Engineer at Honeybee Robotics, where contributions included leading electrical engineering for NASA's Mars Science Laboratory mission. Tom co-founded EnergyHub, serving as CTO and Director of Hardware Development from 2008 to 2012. As Founder and CEO of ReFactory from 2013 to 2017, Tom specialized in contract manufacturing for startups, addressing complex design and manufacturing challenges. Tom continued to advance in the field as Director of Hardware Engineering and later Senior Hardware Engineer at Sidewalk Labs until 2022. Currently, Tom serves as Technical Lead for Sustainability in Devices and Services at Google.
