Tom Sheffer has a diverse background combining experience in military intelligence, research, and software engineering. From November 2012 to October 2017, Tom served as an Analyst Team Lead at Israeli Military Intelligence. Subsequently, between January 2019 and April 2021, Tom worked as a Research Assistant at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Computational Neuropsychiatry Lab. Tom then took on the role of Business Analyst at Scopio Labs from May 2021 to May 2022. In April 2022, Tom joined Google as a Software Engineer Intern in the research department, focusing on large language models to enhance understanding of the human brain, and later advanced to Research Engineer as a Co-Scientist specializing in Agentic AI for scientific discovery. Tom is pursuing advanced degrees at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, including a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (2018-2021), a Master's degree in Computer Science (2023-2025), and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) expected by 2026.
