Tom Swanson

Tom Swanson is an accomplished electrical engineer with a strong background in hardware design and development. Starting as a Student Engineer Intern at Ingersoll Rand, Tom gained experience in debugging and testing hardware. As a Co-Founder and Developer at KickSize, LLC, Tom created a website and an e-commerce plugin for shoe size recommendations. Tom further developed skills at Multi-Tech Systems, Inc. as an Electrical Engineer, focusing on cellular and LoRa communication modules. From June 2017 to April 2020, Tom served as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer at Google, contributing to Project Loon and Project Tidal, designing electronics for flight vehicles and monitoring systems. Prior experience also includes a role at Open Systems International, where Tom participated in the entire product life cycle as a Hardware Design Engineer. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, graduating with a 3.98 GPA.
