Tuba Islam

Tuba Islam has a strong background in analytics and machine learning, with extensive experience as a Senior Researcher in Speech Recognition at the National Research Institute of Electronics and Cryptology from August 2000 to March 2006 and as a member of the Interoperability Working Group at NATO from May 2004 to March 2006, representing Turkey in the SCIP Working Group. Since February 2020, Tuba has been serving as a Google Cloud Machine Learning Specialist Lead, following a role as Principal Data Scientist at SAS from January 2019 to January 2020, where multiple leadership positions in analytics were held. Tuba also contributed to academia as a Guest Lecturer at Universidad de Los Andes in July 2018, teaching a course on Deep Learning and Neural Networks. Educational qualifications include a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an MSc in Electrical Engineering - Telecommunications from Boğaziçi University, alongside a strong foundation in Maths and Science from Kadikoy Anadolu Lisesi.
