Tushar Chandra

Tushar Chandra is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in machine learning and software engineering. At Google, Tushar held several key roles, culminating as Senior Director of Engineering, where leadership of the Applied ML team focused on accelerating machine learning adoption across various products. Tushar co-founded Sibyl, a large-scale machine learning and data analysis system, and contributed significantly to the development of Bigtable, a distributed storage system. Following tenure at Google, Tushar served as Distinguished Engineer and Head of the Onboard Team at Waymo, overseeing software development for autonomous vehicles and achieving notable successes in software launches. Tushar’s academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
