Varrun R. is currently a Senior Security Engineer at Google, specializing in product security for Google Cloud BI, where they focus on security design, architecture reviews, incident response, and automation. Varrun also serves on the Program Review Team for BSidesSF, reviewing CFPs for various security-related topics. Previously, they held the role of Staff Software Engineer at Okta, where they led the Engineering Security team and contributed to developing secure frameworks and security tools. Varrun's experience spans multiple organizations, including VMware and CA Technologies, where they built expertise in security engineering and research. They hold a Master’s degree from Stony Brook University and a B.Tech from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
