Varun Sakalkar

Varun Sakalkar has extensive experience in the technology sector, currently serving in the Platforms Group at Google since June 2010. Prior to this role, Varun completed an engineering internship with the Platforms Engineering team at Google in the summer of 2009. Varun's earlier professional background includes working as an R&D Engineer at GE from July 2004 to June 2006. Academic achievements include a PhD in Computational Engineering and a Master's in Applied Math from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where studies took place between 2006 and 2010 and 2008 to 2009, respectively. Additionally, Varun attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
