Vijay Kotari

Vijay Kotari is a seasoned Software Engineer at Google, with a tenure that began in August 2008. Vijay has been instrumental in the development of Google Maps, serving as a founding engineer and later as Tech Lead for the User Content Serving infrastructure, which processes over 10 billion user-generated reviews, ratings, and photos. The responsibilities include managing a serving stack that handles 2 million queries per second while ensuring low latency across multiple platforms. Vijay has also collaborated closely with legal teams on significant privacy and data protection initiatives. Prior to Google, Vijay interned at Cisco Systems in early 2008, contributing to the STG-IOS team. Educational qualifications include a degree from the Indian Institute Of Information Technology Allahabad, completed in 2008.
