Vikas Soni

Vikas Soni is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in GPU modeling and simulation. Vikas began a career at Intel Corporation as a Graphics Software Engineer from July 2010 to September 2013, focusing on GPU modeling and simulation, and later advanced to a Senior Graphics Software Engineer role, which involved firmware development for camera pipes. Subsequent experience includes a position as a Staff Software Engineer at Samsung Research America from July 2016 to February 2018, where Vikas continued in GPU modeling and simulation. Since February 2018, Vikas has served as a Software Engineer and Tech Lead at Google, concentrating on GPU acceleration for Chrome browser rendering and leading projects aimed at enhancing power and performance. Vikas holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Microelectronics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from SSCET.
