Vikas Yadav

Vikas Yadav is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, where they lead the Google Compute Engine Control Plane, focusing on high reliability and scalability. With 20 years of experience in building scalable and reliable distributed systems, Vikas previously served as Control Plane Leader at Amazon Web Services, overseeing the Elastic Block Store. They began their career as an intern at IBM, conducting research on networking algorithms, and later held significant roles at NetApp, where they developed flagship storage management products like SnapMirror and SnapVault. Vikas earned a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and is currently pursuing additional education through Coursera.
