Vikram Bapat

Vikram Bapat is a seasoned design leader with extensive experience in user experience and product design. Currently serving as the Director of User Experience at Google since September 2016, Vikram oversees the UX for the Google Ads Platform and has also led UX initiatives for Android and Play Developer. Prior to Google, Vikram held multiple leadership roles at Microsoft from July 2000 to September 2016, contributing to developer experiences for Hololens and Cortana, as well as managing design for Project Siena and Internet of Things technologies. Vikram began career as a Product Designer at Design Directions from 1996 to 1998. Educational qualifications include a Master of Design in Communication Planning, Information Design, and Interaction Design from Carnegie Mellon University, a Bachelor of Architecture from Pune University, and a Master of Architecture in Industrial Design from the School of Planning and Architecture.
