Walter Bogorad

Walter Bogorad is an experienced technology professional with a strong background in applied mathematics and computer engineering. At GeneLogic, Walter served as Group Leader, architecting a backend system for gene expression and clinical data storage. Walter's role at AT&T as Principal Member of Technical Staff focused on data collection and network optimization. At Symantec, Walter held multiple technical director positions, leading initiatives in cloud services, machine learning for malicious behavior detection, and developing scalable backend systems for various Norton products. Currently, as a Software Engineer at Google, Walter is engaged in developing machine learning methods to combat spam and abuse. Walter's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and an M.S. from Lomonosov Moscow State University, complemented by a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a certificate in Computer Network Systems from Stanford University.
