Wei Wang

Wei Wang is a highly experienced engineering professional with a robust background in software engineering and research. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager and Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google since May 2015, Wei manages a team of over 30 engineers focused on optimizing performance and thermal aspects for Pixel phones and tablets. Prior to this role, Wei worked at Intel Corporation from June 2012 to May 2015 as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to VTune performance profiler backend development and developing a converged bin split calculator for various IA products. Wei's early career at Intel Labs included work as a Research Scientist, focusing on imaging processing pipelines and embedded IA SoC co-emulation platforms. Wei's academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Signals and Information Processing and a dual Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology.
