William Magro

Global Director, High Performance Computing

William Magro is currently the Global Director of High Performance Computing at Google, leading the company's worldwide HPC business since 2024. They previously served as the Chief Technologist for HPC at Google from 2020 to 2024 and held various leadership positions at Intel Corporation from 2015 to 2017, including Intel Fellow and Chief Technologist. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Cornell University from 1994 to 1996, contributing to the Cornell Theory Center. William obtained a Ph.D. in Quantum Many-body Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1994 and a B.Eng in Applied and Engineering Physics from Cornell University in 1988.
