WoonSeong Kwon

WoonSeong Kwon is a Senior Staff Hardware Engineer at Google, where they have been employed since 2015. They previously held the position of Staff Hardware Engineer at Google from 2015 to 2022. Their extensive experience includes roles as Senior Engineer at Samsung Electronics from 2005 to 2010 and Principal Engineer in Process Development at Xilinx from 2014 to 2015, where they became the primary inventor of 12 patents related to 2.5D and 3D technology. WoonSeong earned a BS, MSE, and EE and a M.S./Ph.D. in Advanced Semiconductor Packaging from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. Prior to these roles, they served as a Scientist at the Institute of Microelectronics from 2010 to 2011, leading significant projects in silicon interposer development.
